On Thursday morning, Clinton Purnell, a Commonwealth Gymnast put the children through their paces and gave an inspirational talk on the benefits of sport, in terms of health, friendships and emotional well-being.

The children were wowed by his demonstrations of cartwheels, handstands and tumbles. The school raised a fantastic £1002: some of this money will go towards the school and some to the sport's charity.

Thank you to all those who gave so generously.

More Food Tasting

On Friday 28th September Hufflepuff class tried some savoury snacks as part of our work on nutrition.

Houmous, tzatziki, breadsticks, rice cakes and cheese were enjoyed by all.

Breadsticks were a firm favourite. Houmous was definitely more popular than the tzatziki.

Science: Food Groups

Hufflepuff are finding out about food groups and how different food groups are important to help us stay healthy and grow.

We enjoyed using a variety of fruits to make a delicious salad that was full of vitamins and minerals.

We topped off the salad with some creamy Fromage Frais containing calcium to help our bones grow.

The salad was loved by all!
